Harstad

Trondenes Church: this is the largest masonry church beyond the Arctic Circle. The white church with the red roof is in a beautiful location, on the promontory of Trondenes overlooking the sea. The main altar, the organ and the pulpit are real wooden masterpieces of artists of the '400.

The exhibition of the museum gives an insight into the Harstad region's history from the young stone age to the present day, with paintings, artifacts and statues depicting their history.
